It was gathered that the OPC members numbering about ten had stormed the residence of the deceased and swooped on him based on the allegation that Mr Igho stole a tiger generator.
A source who identified herself as Mama Iyang said, “Nathaniel, before his death bought a fairly used generator which he used for his business in front of his fathers’ house. Nathaniel also rents out video CD players so that was how the OPC members stormed his residence and seized him accusing him of stealing the generator. Nathaniel denied stealing it and he told the OPC members that he bought the generator from one of his friends, that was how the OPC members went to the friend’s house but they did not see him. When they came back, they seized Nathaniel and all his video CD and his recharge card, calling him a thief, they started beating him and before anybody could say anything in his defence, the OPC people whisked him away to an unknown destination.”
