D'banj DKM Deluxe Album Review (Featuring Kayswitch, J.Soul and Olamide)

D'banj's D-King's Men deluxe album is finally
out. The new 20-track album, with lyrics of
the songs inside, is selling for N2, 000. If you
have heard the album, what are your
thought? See the tracklist and review below.
Album – D'Kings Men
Artiste – Various Artistes (D'banj, Kayswitch,
J.Sol & Olamide)
Features – Snoop Lion, Kanye West, Big
Sean, Falli Ipupa, Nateo C, Durella &
Ikechukwu
Running Time – 01:17:14
Label – DB Records, Sony Music Africa, DKM
Media
Year – 2013
After the countless antics D'banj and his
men finally pulled the curtain off their hotly
anticipatedcompilation album 'D'Kings Men',
which mark's D'banj's first major body of
work in this post-Mo'Hits era. Preceded by a
number of lead singles and leaks; 'D'banj
presents D'Kings Men featuring Kayswitch,
J.Sol & Olamide', houses 20 tracks revolving
around the genres of hip-hop, pop and of
course afrobeats. Plunging into the usual
subjects of partying, love, wealth, fame and
success, they manage to craft an
experimental LP with numerous emotional
layers (mostly pride, lust and anger),
however D'banj validates that he might not
endowed with the utmost musical gift yet his
musical proficiency is praiseworthy.
Here's our track-by-track analysis of the
year's most anticipated – and what will
undoubtedly be the most scrutinized album of
2013.
DKM Intro (Do U Feel): Banger Lee ushers you
into the 'Lee Temple' with a provocative intro,
dominated by strings, snares and
background vocal grunts. Christened 'Do U
Feel', Classic D'banj; as he asks listeners if
they feel the thrill as the musical journey kicks
off. The 'DKM Intro' might not rekindle any
stirring emotion, but you will feel entertained.
Don't Tell Me Nonsense: Tribal, Anthemic,
Celebratory are some of the words that can
be used to describe the second track on the
LP; D'banj wails 'Oya, oya, oya…',
supported by a powerful war-like chant on
the clapping instrumentation on the heavy
chorus. This song will not acquire D'banj any
new major fans, what with the subliminal
lyrics, empty spots here and there.
Nonetheless the stadium-sound was achieved
packing enough bass to get the party started.
Why You Love Me: We are very indifferent
about 'Why You Love Me'. It is one of those
album fillers that falls into the thumping
organic sound of the album; does not have
any major wowing feature nevertheless you
cannot write it off entirely.
Nous Les Meilleurs (We The Best) Ft Falli
Ipupa: D'banj plays the parasitic role in this
Don Jazzy produced Makossa number as he
feeds off Congolese superstar 'Falli Ipupa'
proclaiming 'We The Best'. Sung mostly in
French Falli Ipupa proves he can make you
rotate in seconds, meanwhile the host
(D'banj), struggles to keep up.
Obimo (My Heart) Ft Kayswitch: Kayswitch
flirts with the Igbo language and a
contemporary high-life sound (reminiscent of
an utterly talented D'Prince). By his side is
D'banj, who unleashes his renowned
Harmonica for 'Obimo'. 'My Heart' is
engineered to be the next wedding anthem
or a huge love anthem at the very least.
Finally: After a couple of weak performances,
'Banger Lee' finally bounces back with
'Finally'. Destined to be a mega hit; D'banj
carefully employs the features of a potential
chart topper on this song, from the amazing
beat to basic lyrics, to the catchy hook not-
forgetting the playful dance instructions. It is
safe to say that Dapo knew this number
would cause a frenzy, which is why he
infused the subliminal egotistic lyrics.
Blame It On The Money Ft Big Sean & Snoop
Lion: This song is a testimony that big names
aren't a guarantee for a 'big' song. Boasting
a banging hip-hop instrumentation and a
very catchy but cheesy chorus, 'Blame It on
the Money'; falls face flat, so flat not even Big
Sean and Snoop Lion's average verses could
save the day, let alone D'banj's.
Kayswitch – For Example: A popular hilarious
skit opens the banging street-hop 'For
Example'; Kayswitch continues his winning
streak with the FearDevee produced cut.
Ibadie (Bounce) Ft Kayswitch, Durella,
Olamide & J.Sol: Let that booty
bounce? Yeah! In approximately 6 minutes
D'banj, Kayswtich, Durella, J. Sol and
Olamide emancipate raunchy Afro-Hip-hop
number celebrating the females' behind. We
can struggle to appreciate with over-lengthy
albums like DKM for instance but this track
was a little too long, therefore becoming
exhausting after the first three minutes
elapse, still Olamide and Durella battle to
give a memorable performance.
Silver & Gold Ft Kayswitch & J.Sol: 'Diamonds
are forever, you're worth more than silver
and gold…' Jason Lopez sings boldly on the
pop-rock/dance driven 'Silver & Gold'.
Packed with consistent kicks, drums and
guitar riffs this cut is reminiscent of something
you will find in a Jason Derulo or Chris Brown
or Rihanna discography and has international
appeal written all over it, although Kayswitch
and D'banj try to sprinkle a little Afro in the
mix. 'Silver & Gold' is a solid love anthem
and one of the album's more precious gems
(maybe the diamond), but sadly it is one of
the two tracks in the LP that milks J.Sol's
immense talent.
Scape Goat (The Fix) Ft Kanye West: Yeezus
creator Kanye West joins D'banj for 'Scape
Goat (The Fix). The high-life cut is very similar
to past works of Daniel like 'Fall in Love' as
they are obviously cut from the same cloth.
Kanye rides comfortably on the rich Don
Jazzy produced instrumentation serving two
rap verses and compliments D'banj who sings
about being a 'scape goat' for
love; disregarding the lack of magic 'Igwe' or
'Fall in Love' posses, 'Scape Goat' luckily
stands out.
Kayswitch – Show My Logo: Kayswitch brags
about his 'logo' on this weak dismissible high-
life influenced number.
Oliver Twist: D'banj expresses his crave for
more women, relating to how the fictional
character Oliver Twist asked for
more gruel on this hypnotic afrobeats
number. 'Oliver Twist's' irresistible hip-
shaking melody and infectious hook shot it to
the top of the charts internationally; on that
note we doubt D'banj's craving is a problem
as we don't think women can resist the
brilliance of this song.
Ka Wo Soke (Hands Up) Ft Ikechukwu &
Olamide: Undoubtedly the album's weakest
link; listening to 'Ka Wo Soke' sheds light on
the agonizingly battle to create a club hit. The
trio lavish resources to serve up this junk
which sounds like an ugly distant relative of
Olamide's 'Duroske'.
Top Of The World: Months after its release,
'Top Of The World' brightest qualities have
become even more luminescent, and D'banj's
performance is still one at which to
marvel. Assisted by a more seasoned
background vocalist, a layer of percussion
and a guitar lick, D'banj allows his warm
personality, steady and impressive singing
voice carry the weighty message in the song,
fighting and winning with the aid of his
assistant belting out the lyrics with him.
If Banger Leecould perfect this song live,
the finale could become more enlightening.
Kayswitch & J.Sol – Money On My Mind: Soul
singer 'J.Sol' opens up this hustler's anthem
with his silky voice and Kayswitch quickly
takes the baton from him fearlessly attacking
the thumping beat, yet again Jason backs
him up with well executed vocal
runs momentarily? as he runs deeper
into 'Money' and declares the love for vanity.
Brilliant song and it is very inspirational!
Olamide – First Of All (Remix) Ft
D'Banj: Slightly re-produced, re-written and
re-composed (yet slightly weaker), to ensure
this massive remix hits home; indigenous
rapper Olamide recruits D'banj for
the solid remix of his hit single 'First of All'.
Cashflow Ft Kayswitch: Money is on the mind
of D'Kings Men resulting in excessive
'Cashflow', which is one of the album's lead
singles. D'banj and his younger brother rant
about the cash-flow on this synth hip-hop
beat.
Bachelor: Over tumbling and clapping drums,
tambourine D'banj is letting the world know
more about the cashflow and that he is still
single on 'Bachelor'. D'banj delivers a
commendable performance, experimenting
with hip-hop more.
Trance Ft Naeto C: Amidst an Arabian/
middle eastern inspired beat (sounding like a
left-over from 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted
Fantasy'), 'D'Kings Men' makes
a void dramatic closing with the Naeto C
assisted 'Trance'.

Mike Adenuga pays 20 Million Naira for a burial space

Billionaire businessman and Globalcom

a whopping sum of 200million naira to secure
a space for his burial spot in a cemetery.
The cemetery is at the Vaults and Garden, an
ultra modern cemetery in Ikoyi, Lagos,
situated beside Federal Radio Corporation Of
Nigeria.
The cemetery which was opened in October
30th, 2006 by former Lagos state governor,
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has a spot for
the rich and another spot for the "super" rich.
A space for the rich costs from N750,000 and
above, while that of the "super" rich costs
from N40million and above. There you will
enjoy a lush lawn, a balcony, beautiful gate,

Ladies Only: Security tips for ladies when in danger

1) What should a woman do if she finds
herself alone in the company of a strange
male as she prepares to enter a lift in a high-
rise apartment late at night ?
Experts Say: Enter the lift. If you need to
reach the 13th floor, press all the buttons up
to your destination. No one will dare attack
you in a lift that stops on every floor.
2) What to do if a stranger tries to attack you
when you are alone in your house, run into
the kitchen .
Experts Say: You alone know where the chili
powder and turmeric are kept. And where the
knives and plates are. All these can be turned
into deadly weapons. If nothing else, start
throwing plates and utensils all over.
Let them break. Scream. Remember that
noise is the greatest enemy of a molester. He
does not want to be caught.
3} Taking an Auto or Taxi at Night.
Experts Say: Before getting into an auto at
night, note down its registration number. Then
use the mobile to call your family or friend
and pass on the details to them in the
language the driver understands .Even if no
one answers your call, pretend you are in a
conversation. The driver now knows someone
has his details and he will be in serious
trouble if anything goes wrong. He is now
bound to take you home safe and sound. A
potential attacker is now your de facto
protector!
4}What if the driver turns into a street he is
not supposed to – and you feel you are
entering a danger zone ?
Experts Say: Use the handle of your purse or
your stole (dupatta) to wrap around his neck
and pull him back. Within seconds, he will
feel choked and helpless. In case you don't
have a purse or stole just pull him back by his
collar. The top button of his shirt would then
do the same trick.
5} If you are stalked at night.
Expert Say: enter a shop or a house and
explain your predicament. If it is night and
shops are not open, go inside an ATM box.
ATM centers always have security guards.
They are also monitored by close circuit
television.
Fearing identification, no one will dare attack
you.
After all, being mentally alert is the greatest
weapon you can ever have .
Please spread it to all those women u care &
spread awareness as dis is d least we can do
for a social & moral cause and fr d safety of
women.

ETISALAT signs D'banj as Ambassador worth N250 Million

Nigeria's king of pop music, D'banj, has just
signed a N250 million endorsement deal with
Etisalat.
This is coming after the comic actor, Hafis
Oyetoro, better known as Saka, received a
better endorsement cheque from MTN and
conveniently dumped Etisalat, believed to be
paying him less.
We were told D'banj's cheque is N250 million
and he has already shot the necessary
commercials with Etisalat.
However, both parties are still keeping mum
on the development.
The competition in the telecoms sector started
with Saka moving to MTN from Etisalat.
Globacom, which is not new to celebrity
endorsements, added M I, Naeto C,
Omawunmi, Waje and Burna Boy to its long
list of celebrity ambassadors.
MTN has also thought it worthy to sign
endorsement deals with past winners of
franchise music competition of Project Fame
West Africa.
These included Iyanya, Mike Anyasodo,
Chidinma Ekile.
However, as it is, it seems Etisalat has
challenged MTN and other with D'banj catch.
What would be MTN's next move?

Davido and Manager denies being arrested in Hungary over fake currencies

Davido's camp has denied that the Gobe
crooner was arrested alongside his manager
in Hungary.
Read the official press statement:
Official Press Release
It has come to our notice that some
unscrupulous rumour peddlers have chosen to
malign Davido's hard work ethic and
reputation.
Davido has been on his European tour for a
few weeks and landed in Budapest, Hungary
on Friday June 21 for his Budapest stop. He
was met with what is perhaps the worst case
of unprofessionalism from a promoter in his
career as a touring artiste. The promoter in
this case is known as Mr Frank of BLACK
DIAMOND ENTERTAINMENT. To the dismay of
his management, the agreements on Davido's
ryder were not met despite assurances
written and verbal that everything was set.
Please note the following facts:
Against their agreement, Davido and his
management were given a one bedroom
suite to house them during their stay in
Budapest.
The promoter had issues with the venue for
the show. Up until the night of the
performance, the venue had not been paid
for and Davido's management were informed
that he might not be able to perform on the
stage. This was finally sorted a few minutes
to the show.
When it was finally time to perform, the
promoter had not arranged for sound and
Davido only managed the situation and
decided to perform because of his fans that
had paid to attend the concert.
A fight broke out at the club and the
promoters did not arrange any form of
security for Davido, it was the intervention of
the venue security guards that ensured that
he got back to his hotel room in safety.
Davido and his management did not receive
any direct payments from the said promoter.
Infact the promoter is yet to pay up in full
Davido's performance fees as agreed.
Davido and his management team catered to
their every need while in Budapest from their
personal funds
Davido's management wishes to state
distinctly and clearly that Davido was not at
any point arrested in Budapest, Hungary. He
is currently in Paris, France where he is set to
perform on the 28th and the 29th of June.

The real reasons why Obama is not visiting Nigeria

The United States on Tuesday hinted on the
reasons why President Barack Obama won't
visit Nigeria during his upcoming three-nation
trip to Africa.
According to US officials, the ongoing
insecurity appeared to be responsible for the
exclusion of Nigeria in Obama's second visit
to the continent.
Obama is scheduled to visit Senegal,
Tanzania and South Africa.
The US government said the trip would focus
on trade and investment, democratic
institution-building, young people, and
enhancing economic growth.
American Deputy National Security Advisor,
Ben Rhodes, made this clarifications at a
briefing on Tuesday.
The briefing was addressed jointly with the
Senior Director for African Affairs Grant Harris
and Senior Director for Development and
Democracy Gayle Smith, on Obama's
upcoming visit.
The text of the briefing was made available
to journalists in Abuja by the Information
Office of the Public Affairs Section of the US
Embassy.
Rhodes said, "With respect to Nigeria, we
certainly believe that Nigeria is a
fundamentally important country to the future
of Africa. We've put a lot of investment in the
relationship with Nigeria through their
leadership of ECOWAS, through the
significant US business investment in Nigeria
and through our security cooperation.
"Obviously, Nigeria is working through some
very challenging security issues right now.
And in that process, they're going to be a
partner of the United States. We certainly
believe we'll have an opportunity to further
engage the Nigerian government through
bilateral meetings going forward. But at this
point, we just were not able to make it to
Nigeria on this particular itinerary.
"I will say that we purposefully designed the
itineraries to be able to reach West Africa,
South Africa and East Africa, and in West
Africa, to visit Senegal, a French-speaking,
Muslim-majority democracy that is an
important partner of the United States and
also provides a platform for the President to
speak to the broader region.
"We are also looking at ways, at the
President's town hall in South Africa with
young African leaders, to draw in through
technology young people in Nigeria and in
Kenya, among other places, so that the
President is using this trip to speak to the
broader African audience. We recognize
we'd like to go to as many countries as
possible.''

Customer sues Diamond Bank N25 Million for tampering with his Account

According to YES! Weekly Magazine Another
multi-million naira fraud has allegedly been
uncovered at Diamond Bank Plc by one of
their customers. Embittered by this
development, the said customer, Mr.
Oluwamayowa Iseyemi, has reported the
matter to the Osogbo High Court in Osun
State. In his word, the bank tampered with
his account without his 'knowledge, consent
and authority'.
For that reason, he's claiming N25 million as
special and general damages. According to
his writ of summons, he had been enjoying
credit facilities from the Osogbo branch of the
bank since 2008. In February 2009 however,
he applied for a personal loan of N3 million –
which was granted on February 23 via a
letter with reference number FD/AO/
AA/23/02/2009.
"The loan was repayable in two equal
monthly installments with an interest of 25
percent per annum and management fee of
two percent flat per quarter in outstanding
facility amount payable upfront".
Unfortunately, according to Iseyemi, the bank
went contrary to their agreement along the
line, tampering with his account in the
process.
Maintaining that he had started re-paying the
loan when sometime in 2011 he "uncovered
a lot of manipulations by the defendant in his
account", he has now rushed to the court to
seek redress. The matter came up for hearing
recently and from what we were told, more
shocking revelations will still follow. Diamond
Bank Plc is one of Nigeria's leading banks.
Headed by Dr. Alex Otti, a first class
graduate of the University of Port-Harcourt,
banker/customer palaver is not new to them.

Europe set to ban men from urinating while standing

The local chapter of the Left Party, a socialist
and feminist political party, in Sormland
County Council, Sweden, is pushing to make
standing while peeing illegal for men using
the
county council's public restrooms.
Party officials are pushing to make public
restrooms
in the county council "sitting only."
Supporters of the proposal say sitting while
urinating
is more hygienic and promotes sanitary
restroom
habit for male users.
It will help to eliminate the problem of
puddles on
the floor and spray stains on toilet seats.
They also argue that urinating while sitting
will help
to promote male health because it allows
men to
empty their bladder more effectively.
Sitting while urinating according to advocates
will
reduce prostate problems among men.
As a compromise, the party has proposed
that some
toilets could, in the interim, be designated
exclusively for men who must remain
standing while
peeing.
The Left Party's Viggo Hansen, who made the
proposal, said that ultimately he wants office
toilets
in the council to be genderless and would thus
like to
see only "sit-down" toilets in county council
offices.
He said that the move should not be seen as
meddling in the bathroom habits of people.
He said: "That's not what we're doing. We
want to
give men the option of going into a clean
toilet." But
proposals across Europe to enforce "sitting
only"
regulation in public toilets have been
criticized.
Dr. John Gamel of Louisville University noted
that the
push to enact legislation banning men from
standing
while peeing in restrooms is spreading in
Europe
with feminists pushing similar legislation in
Germany, France and Holland.
"The liberated women of France and
Germany and
Holland have vowed to put their men down –
on the
toilet. They carry placards showing a huge
red X
scrawled across a man standing to urinate.
They shout: "Laissez tomber votre pantalon,
et
asseyez vous! (Drop your trousers and sit)!":
"Behalte deine Tropfen fuer dich (Keep your
drips to
yourself)!"; "Toch niet weer een vieze plas op
MIJN
badkamer vloer (Not another filthy puddle on
MY
bathroom floor)!"
Gamel argues that legislation cannot force
men to
adopt more supposedly sanitary habits while
peeing.
He told The Huffington Post that the spray
and
spatter during "shake off" will not be
prevented
because "no man will want to shake off"
while sitting
on the toilet to avoid sticking the hand inside
the
toilet.
Gamel writes: "...most of the stray "sprinkles"
that so
enrage European women occur not during the
act of
urination itself, but immediately afterward,
during a
ritual men learn as part of their potty
training. The
various maneuvers required to discharge the
urine
remaining in the urethra.
A man who tucks away his joystick without
performing
these maneuvers will dribble half an ounce of
urine
into his underwear, causing an embarrassing
stain in
the crotch of his trousers, or an even more
embarrassing streak down his trouser leg.
To avoid this debacle, every sentient male,
after
every urination, carefully squeezes or "milks"
his
member to assure that no stray drops remain
within
the urethra. "Unfortunately, some men pursue
this
goal with excessive vigor, indulging in what
can only
be described as "shaking off the last drop."
It is precisely these movements – and not the
free-
falling stream itself – that deposit most of the
unwanted urine on lavatory floors throughout
the
world."
"As a result, forcing men to sit while emptying
their
bladders will serve little purpose, since no
man wants
to shake himself off while remaining seated
on the
toilet."

Church Minister arrested for having sex with underage girl during private prayer session

Church Minister Arrested For Having Sex With
Underage Girls During "Private Prayer
Sessions"
A church minister has been accused of having
sex with underage girls.
According to reports, the minister, Larry
Durant, would tell the girls that the sex acts
he performed on them would prevent them
from getting pregnant and becoming
homosexuals. He also allegedly tells them
that being sexual with him would
preventthem from contracting sexually-
related diseases.
The grandmother of one of the alleged victims
talks about their obliviousness to the shocking
act going on;
"We thought he was really talking to the
children, but find out that wasn't the case,"
she said. "All I want is justice done, that's all.
Justice done,"
Police reports revealed that this criminal act
began in 2011

New oil site found in Nigeria

Afren and LekOil shares advanced after
striking oil offshore Nigeria.
The Ogo-1 well, on the OPL 310 licence, has
made a significant light oil discovery, Afren
said.
The well was drilled to a depth of 10,518ft
and found a 524ft of gross hydrocarbons,
with 216ft of 'stacked' net pay.
Before Ogo-1 was drilled, the prospect was
estimated at 78mln barrels but Afren says,
based on the evidence to date, the oil find is
likely to be significantly larger than that.
"The discovery of oil in the Ogo-1 well opens
up a new oil basin in an under-explored
region and represents a possible extension of
the West African Transform Margin," said
chief executive Osman Shahenshah.
"Based on evidence to date, targeted
resources are likely to be significantly in
excess of previous estimates, with some high-
potential zones still to be drilled. We look
forward to working with our partners to
realise the full potential of Ogo and our
additional prospects on the license."
Afren has a 40% economic interest in the
Ogo-1 well, while recently listed AIM explorer
LekOil (LON:LEK) has 30%.
In early deals Afren shares are up 7.23% to
130p, while LekOil shares are up 27% to
44.5p each, proactiveinvestors reported.

Nigerians to pay £3,000 to enter UK

Visitors from 'high risk' countries in Africa and
Asia will have to put up a £3,000 cash bond
to enter Britain.
The money will be kept by the Government if
visitors do not return home by the time their
visas expire.
A pilot scheme, introduced by Home
Secretary Theresa May, will target hundreds
of people coming to Britain on six-month visit
visas from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana,
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The countries have been picked for their high
number of visa applications and what the
Government sees as relatively high levels of
immigration abuse and fraud, reports the
Sunday Times.
The bonds, to be introduced from November,
will only apply to non-EU migrants, otherwise
they would fall foul of European rights to free
movement.
'This is the next step in making sure our
immigration system is more selective,
bringing down net migration from the
hundreds of thousands to the tens of
thousands while still welcoming the brightest
and the best to Britain,' Mrs May told the
Sunday Times.
'In the long run we're interested in a system
of bonds that deters overstaying and recovers
costs if a foreign national has used our public
services.'
A second scheme will cover countries such as
Kenya, the newspaper reports, which are
considered to be lower-risk because
immigration officials have fewer doubts about
migrants' plans to return home.
About 2.2million people are granted visas to
enter Britain every year. Last year 296,000
people from India were granted six-month
visas, as were 101,000 from Nigeria, 53,000
from Pakistan and 14,000 apiece from
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

I have had sex with 370 Men - Seyi Kolade Nigerian Woman in UK confesses

Approaching a man at a bar, Seyi Kolade
had only one thing on her mind as she
chatted with the stranger - sex. Within hours
the pair were in bed together and she was
delighted at how her evening had panned
out.
And this was not a chance encounter, for Seyi
was a sex addict and it was what she did
almost every day for 13 years. Last night she
said: "Sex addiction took hold of my life."
Seyi, 35, was just 17 when she became
dependent on sleeping with men. By 19 she'd
had 40 partners and she says she has
bedded a shocking total of 370 men.
Her dangerous addiction led her to a life of
destruction - catching sexually transmitted
infections, being evicted from her home and
having two terminations.
By the age of 30, Seyi had hit rock bottom
and needed help. Today, after attending
numerous sex addiction meetings and 12-
step programmes, Seyi has been celibate for
four years and is helping others like her.
She explains says: "Sex addiction is
something people associate with men, but it
took hold of my life for more than 13 years.
"It was a craving and a fear of how I'd feel if
I couldn't get it.
"Once I did, it was a huge relief, like a
weight was lifted.
"It's like any addiction. It made me selfish,
self-destructive and depressed but it was a
cycle I couldn't escape."
She adds: "I lost my virginity when I was 13
with my first boyfriend.
"I was shocked when I fell pregnant. I gave
birth when I was 14. It was a very difficult
time."
Social services arranged a nanny to look after
her daughter, Sarah, from six weeks old.
Being a young mum scarred Seyi's childhood.
She says: "I moved out of home when I was
16 with Sarah and lived in a mother and
baby unit. I felt terribly lonely. I craved
affection, I was miserable."
Moving into a housing association home at
17, Seyi met then-boyfriend Paul, 31.
It was now that she began to use sex to
replace her feelings of loneliness.
She says: "When I started having sex with my
boyfriend I thought it was the answer and
would stop me feeling so lonely. But it wasn't
enough."
Going to bars, Seyi, from Birmingham,
cheated on Paul at least once a week with
strangers or men she would meet regularly.
She says: "I needed sex and afterwards it
was a relief. When I couldn't have sex my
confidence would plummet, I felt ugly and
went into a spiral of upset and frustration,
feeling unworthy and needing another fix as
soon as possible."
Seyi fell pregnant at 17 with son, Andrew.
She says: "I told Paul it was his although
there was some doubt in my mind. After I
gave birth I tried to stay faithful. I wanted sex
with him four to five times a day, but the
attention from him wasn't enough.
"When the pent-up sexual frustration became
too much, I'd go elsewhere and get validation
through sex.
"I cheated on him three times in six months,
then fell pregnant again."
Devastated and unable to look after another
child, Seyi made the decision to have her
baby terminated.
She says: "It wasn't fair on the child to have
them. I didn't know whose baby it was so I
didn't tell Paul. I wanted our relationship to
work but we split up when I was 19."
Seyi's heartbreak made her sex addiction go
wild. She says: "The only cure for my
loneliness was sex. I had five guys I could
meet with for sex when I wanted and was
also sleeping with strangers. I'd go to bars
and easily pick one up. Being good in bed
made me feel worthy."
By 22 Seyi had caught chlamydia twice.
Going out almost every night while her
children were looked after by friends and
family, all she could think about was sex.
She says: "Between the ages of 22 to 30, life
was a blur, my addiction had taken over.
"I was sleeping with five to six men, or
meeting strangers for sex at bars weekly. I
fell pregnant again at 26. I felt I had no
choice but to have a termination. I got drunk
and had sex After the procedure.
"I don't know how I managed to keep my job
as a management consultant. I took lots of
sick days when I craved sex and couldn't face
the office. I even slept with a colleague.
"I was evicted for not paying rent when I was
29 and had to send my children to live with
my family."
While staying with a friend Seyi saw the
documentary The Secret, about the laws of
attraction. She says: "I knew I had a problem
but never stopped to think about being a sex
addict. I realised I needed help."
After quitting her job to concentrate on her
recovery Seyi, then 31, went to an addiction
meeting.
She says: "There were six others there and
when I listened to their stories it cured my
nerves. I didn't stop craving sex straight
away but cut down slowly." Since August
2009 she has been celibate.
She says: "I'm so proud of myself. I've craved
sex but the programme lets me know the
trigger signs.
"I don't plan on having sex any time soon. If
the right guy comes along and I feel I'm in a
stable, loving relationship, I'd feel safe to do
it. I have my children back living with me and
feel I'm no longer a sex addict.
"I'd hate to think where my life would be now
if I hadn't sought help."
Despite her recovery, Seyi lives with the guilt
of her addiction. She says: "I could have
passed on STIs, I had two terminations and
my kids didn't have the attention they
deserved.
"I've now trained as an inspirational speaker
and happiness advocate. At workshops and
seminars I can help others understand what
sex addiction is, where it comes from and
recovery.
"Being celibate has given me my life back. I
want to help others do the same."

Don Jazzy Donates 1Million Naira to OJB Jezreel

Don Jazzy has got to be the most generous
Nigerian celebrity ever. A few weeks ago he
gave a mutual friend of ours who has kidney
issues, N1million. And today I found out that
he has also donated N1million to prolific
music producer, OJB Jezreel. And let's not
forget the N2million he gave cancer patient
Funmi Lawal last year and many more things
I hear he does very quietly. God bless him
plenty. Also, thanks to Ruggedman who has
also donated to OJB.
Now calling on other artists to please do
same. OJB Jezreel needs N15million for a
kidney transplant in India. This guy has done
so much for music in Nigeria and had helped
so many Nigerian artists achieve success.
Now is the time to give back.

Are sex toys safe???

Sex toys seem to be everywhere these days.
But the question is: are they advisable and
healthy? Is there any harm in using sex toys?
My husband would only enjoy sex get a good
orgasm only when he had used a hard
banana on me lubricated with menthol during
foreplay before he starts off the actual
thrusting in and out. I do not mind initially but
now it has become a habit. He says it is
homemade sex toys that he likes
experimenting with because of their textures.
He says that without them, he cannot get
sexually connected to me. Do sex toys really
promote sexual harmony? How many times
per day can we use them and how long can
someone become addicted to sex toys?
Are there bad and good sex toys? Are there
any side effects from their use? Is there any
harm if I use a carrot instead of a dildo/
vibrator? My friends introduced me to some
form of natural methods like the use of
running warm water to arouse myself before
my husband comes in (because it takes me
ages to get aroused) than the use of sex toys.
Which one do you think is appropriate? I was
shopping online for sex toys and came across
a site that seems very knowledgeabl. There,
they say the only safe kind of sex toy to use is
silicone. They claim that most sex toys have
cancer-causing ingredients. Are there dangers
of getting cancer from using sex toys?
These and many more are the questions
many clients have asked me over the years
as regard the object of sex toys.
A sex toy or adult toy is an object or device
that is primarily used to facilitate human
sexual pleasure, such as a dildo or vibrator,
rings etc. Many popular sex toys are
designed to resemble human genitals and
are vibrating or non-vibrating, colourful or just
natural and intended to stimulate the body.
They come in a range of shapes, sizes, for
internal or external use. Some researchers
says that 41 percent of couples have used
some form of sex toys during foreplay, and
up to 29 per cent of couples have used one
during intercourse. People who made love
regularly use sex toys more than those who
aren't, and between 20-30 per cent of
people have used sex toys at least once in
their lives. The sex toys industry makes a lot
of money due to popular demand all over the
globe.
This means people who use sex toys are not
faceless as everyone and anyone you can
imagine is the kind of person who can or may
use sex toys. Many couples want to know if
using sex toys can transform their sex lives
from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Sex
toys are not the best teachers or a cure-all for
sex between couples. They are additional
aids to sexual satisfaction. Many couples who
have experimented with these devices see
sex toys as a great way of adding stimulation
and excitement to their sex lives. Some even
claim these toys boost the chances of them
having good orgasms through intercourse. So
sex toys are not only for people who have a
bad sex life, or no sex life; sex toys are just
for added stimulation, excitement and
pleasure. As much as there may not be
anything harmful about the usage (as long as
they're used in a mature way and properly
within the marriage union), sex toys can
become addictive. It is well known that
addiction implies harm, when solidly relied
upon. Of course, prolonged use of sex toys
makes sex less natural.
Some couples who for one reason or the other
have a long distance relationship want to
know if sex toys can actually replace their
spouses for the main time or for life. For the
main time, yes (if this is inevitable and the
only reasonable option). This is still better
than adultery or unfaithfulness in marriage.
But for a lifetime, no sex toy should not be a
replacement for your partner. A sex toy won't
make you breakfast, have urges or cuddle
you. It won't tell you how much it loves you.
Many spouses are struggling to get their
position back with their partners. Some have
become confused and believe that the most
important thing about them is what's
between their legs.
Some sex toys do pose obvious risks of
damage or harm to the genitalia. A study on
HIV-positive users of sex toys in the United
States says such partners easily infect their
spouses. Studies also show that some of these
devices could be toxic. The composition of
some sex toys makes them allergic in nature
and can cause irritation and skin infection.
When users are exposed to very large doses,
such toxic items can cause damage to the
liver, lungs, kidneys, testes. They can also
cause hormonal disruption, upset the body's
ability to regulate hormone production,
damage reproduction, can also possibly
cause cancer.

Many Producers in Nigeria will soon Bankrupt - SAMKLEF

Samklef is perhaps one of the busiest music
producers at the moment. But the award
winning producer says he wants to
concentrate more on his musical career in an
attempt to further establish himself on the
music scene. He revealed that much and more
in this interview with AHMED BOULOR.
HOW does it feel being married?
Marriage has been a blessing because I got
married to the right woman; I got married to
my friend. Being married has taken me to the
next level and I am glad I got married at the
time I did. I used to be disorganized when I
was not married; I lived in hotels when I had
the money but marriage put a stop to all of
that because I now spend my time and my
money wisely. Now I have a home and I
remember I lost my dad at the age of 11 and
I became a rejected stone but I thank God for
everything he has done in my life.
Why did you feature her in your recent video
titled "Suwe"?
I featured her because of the title of the song;
Suwe means game and my wife is my friend.
What I do is showbiz and it is good you put
your family in the eye of the viewer for
positive reasons and not otherwise.
How did you meet her; was it a planned
meeting?
Everything about my life is not planned; I
didn't plan meeting my wife. I met her in
2010 and we got married in 2011. I met her
in front of her parent's house and we got
talking and what attracted me to her was her
confidence. I was not really known as a
popular producer at the time but I just had a
name. We got close after that meeting and
we got even closer to each other with time.
She is my friend and we went through a lot
together. Getting married to her is about the
best decision I have made in my life.
You have no regrets whatsoever?
I have no regrets; I have developed a great
deal and I am still relevant on the scene. After
I got married a lot of people said I went
quiet. I didn't go quiet; I am still relevant as I
have been working with various artistes.
Marriage makes you peer ahead; I think of
the future now and how I can remain at the
top of what I do. Marriage has thought me
how to manage and handle showbiz.
Is there any particular reason you featured
Baba Suwe in the video?
When I penned lyrics for the song was the
time when Baba Suwe was arrested for drug
trafficking. I met with Olamide later on and
we were putting lyrics together for the song
and Olamide mentioned Baba Suwe and we
thought it would be a good idea to have him
in the video. The whole idea was further
developed by Tiannah Styling's and that was
the reason why I gave her a mention on the
video.
How much did you pay him to be on the
video?
I wouldn't like to disclose that to the public on
the pages newspapers. That is between the
two of us. He was free and lively on set and
we all had a good time shooting the video.
You have produced songs for artistes such as
Wizkid, Olamide, D Prince and a host of other
established acts. Why is hard for you to
produce a hit song for yourself since you also
double as an artiste?
All I have been doing in the past was selling
myself as a producer but it is a new era for
me at the moment. I want to concentrate
more on selling myself as an artiste. Besides, I
started as an artiste; I just did the video for
the song "Suwe" and people are surprised I
could do that but first I did 'The Rain' where I
showed my other skills. I have been
showcasing my stuff because as a business
man you need to sell your brand. I have come
to discover that most producers don't make
money because there are no structures. A lot
of producers will soon go broke because there
are no structures; we need publishing
companies that can help us get the money.
Some artistes are making huge sums of
money while producers are not making
anything. I don't blame artistes anyway
because they are meant to give you what you
are due by paying you your service charge.
But when things are taken care of by a
publishing company, then producers need not
worry because they will get their due.
How would you describe your evolution on the
music scene?
It has been mind blowing and what I did
recently can be termed as spiritual. I am very
spiritual; I believe everything that controls the
physical is spiritual. I also believe in energy
and frequency. Recent times have been like a
rebirth for me because I collaborated with
Terry G. A whole lot of people do not know
that the first group I was part of was formed
by Terry G. We used to do gospel music then;
he later left the group to forge his own future
while I was taking out time to discover myself
at the time. It all started for me when I
produced the hit song titled "My Life" for
Durella. Skales heard about my expertise
and he introduced me to EME where I did two
songs for Wizkid titled "Tease Me" and
"Don't Dull". I also organised the team that
shot the video "Holla at you Boy". So it is now
a rebirth for me, I did a song titled "Display"
with Terry G with whom I've surprisingly not
been in a studio with until recently.
What's next for you?
After my latest single "Display" I hope to
drop another single very soon. I am also
planning to shoot a video in America because
I have been getting positive responses from
fans. My album will be dropping soon and I
am working towards its completion.
How have you been able to remain relevant
on the scene despite that fact that the digital
age has brought laziness and lack of
discipline among most music producers?
That's because I go to church and get inspired
all the time. It is only in the church that you
get to listen to soul lifting songs. I tell
everybody that cares to listen that real music
is from the church; it is only in the church that
you get to listen to real music live. I am not
just a fluke; I am a musician. I play the
keyboard and the guitar; I am a full blown
musician. The digital age has helped me to
be more creative; I am versatile and there are
lots of software's that have enabled me to up
my game.
How do you combine video production, music
production and your music career?
I have people working for me and I try as
much as possible to delegate responsibility. It
is fun getting involved in video productions as
well; I try as much as possible to give my best
shot in whatever I do and I try not to do
things for money.
What's your educational background like?
I attended Air force primary school and later
attended Tomori Comprehensive High School
in Lagos. After leaving secondary school, I got
enrolled into the street university where I had
to forge a future for myself. I learnt
everything I know today on the streets and I
have a first class degree from the streets. I
have never bought JAMB form my life and
that doesn't mean I am not educated.
Did you ever think you were going to make
money from music?
I started making money when I was young
because back then at the Air force base I
used to get invitations to come and dance at
birthday parties and I was given a token for
my trouble. Music started for me when my
dad died; I was lonely and sought things that
could occupy my time. That was how I fell in
love with music; I learnt to how to play the
key board and later went to music school for
one month.
How challenging is it to produce a hit song?
No song has been too challenging for me to
produce; I don't spend much time producing
songs. The maximum time I have spent
producing a beat is one hour. Sometimes I
spend half an hour producing a song. I have
not had to produce any challenging beat; I
produced "Don't Dull" by Wizkid under an
hour.
When should we expect your album release?
My album is dropping between July and
August…
What's the title?
The album is titled Four Cardinal Points
How close are you to God?
God is my friend and my father; I talk to him
as a friend. He is not a breed; I have a father
and son like relationship with God. He knows
what I am doing and he is in support of what
I am do. The bible says the blessings of God
added riches and added no sorrow.
What's in the pipeline for you in the near
future?
After my album release, I intend to embark
on a European tour to promote my music next
year. I am also working on a project for my
son; it's an animated super hero movie I am
working on.
Have your worked with any international
artiste?
I am working on something in that direction
because I have friends trying to fix things for
me over there. That will surely materialize
when my tour begins in time soon to come.

We African youths wish to ask DSTV to give
us a BBA where African Youths are rewarded

single morality lesson to learn than sex and
immorality.
DSTV has the best entertainment

Shocking Story of how I caught my father in bed with my wife - Reader

Ironically this happened a day after she told
me that she was carrying my baby. The
strange thing is that my father and wife are
behaving as if nothing out of the ordinary
happened. My father simply got up from my
matrimonial bed and ordered me to follow
him.
In my living room, he gave me a cheque of
N25m to buy myself a car of my choice while
my wife went into the kitchen to prepare
dinner. The whole thing appeared to be like a
movie as I looked from my father to my wife.
A presence more powerful than me held me
down, preventing me from going after either
my father or wife.
I eventually summoned the courage to move
and found myself going towards my mother's
apartment. When I got there and narrated
the whole incident to her, she begged me not
to fight or say anything about it to anybody.
My elder brother who came into my mother's
apartment while I was narrating the incident,
laughed and patted me on my shoulders
without saying anything.
My immediate elder sister, who has refused
to come back to Nigeria from London since
she left eight years ago, wasn't surprised by
my story. She only told me to take things
easy and not try to make trouble with my
wife if I valued my life. I am the last born of
three children and the favorite of my father in
particular. That night, my mother came into
our apartment to take my wife with her. I
didn't sleep throughout the night wondering
what strange things were going on in my
family.
The next day as early as 6a.m., my father
came over to my apartment to more or less
warn me about trying to make trouble. He
told me what I witnessed was beyond me
and that it would continue to be the pattern
until he got tired. After he left, I ran to my
friend's place who in turn took me to Epe to
consult with a spiritualist. Without much ado,
the spiritualist, told me that I will learn to live
with the situation else I would become insane
if I try to challenge my father.
He said, not even my mother can challenge
my father. He said, my father has gone too
far to change and that things have been
damaged beyond repairs in the things he has
done to us; that it would take the grace of
God for my siblings and I to overcome the
spiritual problems my father in his quest for
power, money and fame has done. He too
advised me to continue to tolerate the
situation by accepting to live with my wife
who he said, was brought into my life by my
father for his purpose.
Two days after our visit, the friend that took
me is critically ill in the hospital. doctors are
yet to say what precisely is wrong with him. I
don't need anybody to tell me where the
attack is coming from. This has made me very
determined to fight my father to a standstill. I
want to confront and expose him for all his
friends and associates to know who he really
is. I am yet to return home after that day. At
night I keep seeing my father in my dream
telling me to come home for my own good.
My mother and elder brother have been
relentless on the phone urging me to come
back home.
We all live within the massive family
compound which is actually a mini estate as
all our domestic employees with their family
live within the compound. My father doesn't
allow anyone working for him in the house to
live outside the premises. He insists on it and
has a school bus that takes all the children of
his staff to and from school, my mother runs.
Please whispernaija.com readers help me as I
am so confused. I feel sorry for everybody in
that house. How do I challenge my father and
still be alive to tell my story. I feel so helpless
and lost. Do save me.

Boy 14 killed younger sister 5 using wrestling tactics learned on TV

Viloude Louis, who was allegedly killed by
her 13-year-old brother when he performed
wrestling moves on her that he had seen on
TV.
Vilger Louis talks about his daughter Viloude,
dead after suffered multiple injuries after her
half-brother allegedly beat her.
A young teen beat his little half-sister to
death using wrestling moves he'd copied from
the TV, police claim.
Devalon Armstrong, 13, is accused of
repeatedly slamming Viloude Louis, 5, onto a
bed, punching her in the stomach, jumping on
her back and elbow-dropping into her
kidneys.
She suffered broken ribs, internal bleeding
and liver lacerations from the brutal bashing
at their Terrytown, Louisiana, home.
Cops say Armstrong was babysitting his
younger sibling on Sunday afternoon when he
decided to test out some moves he'd seen on
World Wrestling Entertainment.
Later complaining of having a stomach ache,
she went upstairs to brush her teeth — before
being found by her brother 30 minutes later
in crippling pain on the bathroom floor.
Realizing she was no longer breathing,
Armstrong took her downstairs to the sofa
and dialed 911.
Paramedics arrived on the scene but found
her unresponsive. She was pronounced dead
soon after.
As there were no outward signs of injury,
Louis's death was at first deemed
"unclassified."
But a coroner's report released on Tuesday
found she had died of multiple injuries.
Armstrong, who reportedly confessed to
carrying out the moves, was arrested later
that day on suspicion of second-degree
murder.
He is currently being held at a juvenile
detention center, reports The Times-Picayune.
Psychiatrists will now evaluate whether
Armstrong is mentally able to participate in
his own defense. A hearing is scheduled for
next month.

Miracle!!! Girl wakes up in Mortuary 2 days after death

Miracles are still happening! Twenty-one-
year-old Adora Ugwu is planning to be a
soldier. She also wants to secure admission
into one of the country's tertiary institutions.
She had put her hands on the plough of her
latter dream by writing the last UMTE.
But, as she was going for the other one, she
died. Two days after the lady wrote the
examination, she was heading for her home
state of Enugu for the recruitment into the
Nigerian Army when the vehicle she was
travelling had a head-on collision with a
similar minibus.
The result: her death and that of 25 others
who included four discharged members of
batch B National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Twenty of them including Adora reportedly
died on the spot in headon collision involving
two 15 passengers' capacity buses, each,
belonging separately to Peace Mass Transit
Limited and the Enugu State Transport
Company (ENTRACO). The buses had
registration number BENUE – XB 504 TKP,
ENUGU – XL 812 UWN respectively.
The ghastly crash occurred along Enugu-
Markudi express road, at Amoka in Udi,
Enugu State on June 20th. Immediately after
the crash which was promptly reported to the
Enugu State Command of the Federal Road
Safety Corps (FRSC) by its Delta State Sector
Commander Lukas Ikpi who met the accident
while travelling on the road, the dead
including Adora were evacuated to Our
Saviour Hospital morgue at 9th mile. But she
was not meant to stay among the dead for
long.
Two days after she had been confined to the
mortuary. The parents had wept and
mourned, most of them especially the mother
was devastated, but the dead must be
buried. And this was what Adora's relative
intended doing: bury her two day-old corpse.
At the morgue, the attendants were putting in
place all the deeds of mortification when
suddenly there was a sound; a sneeze, it
was. They looked around, then another one!
Behold, the body being prepared for claim by
the relatives had just sneezed.
The dead don't sneeze, they reasoned.
Adora, whose body was being prepared, is
not dead after all. When Saturday Mirror
asked her what she felt on her first realization
of consciousness, she said: "I thought we were
all sleeping. When I asked people around
where I was, she said they said I had an
accident.
"I cannot remember anything that happened
when I was at the mortuary." When Adora
was discovered to be alive, her relative who
had come to identify her was immediately
called phoned the others from the morgue.
Tears turned to felicitation. From the morgue
she was later transferred to the Federal
Orthopaedic Hospital in Enugu where is
currently receiving treatment and spoke with
Saturday Mirror.
Adora, told Saturday Mirror that she hails
from Enugu state. She said she attended a
secondary school in North-Bank Markudi,
Benue State adding that she was in Benue to
take her JAMB after which she was travelling
down to Enugu for army recruitment when the
accident occurred.

South Africa Now Visa-Free For NigerianPassport Holders

Nigeria and South Africa on Tuesday signed
an agreement aimed at ending visa
acquisition by holders of official and
diplomatic passports.
Ministers from both countries have been
charged to ensure the effective
implementation of the newly signed
instruments and the conclusion of outstanding
agreements.
Both Presidents, Jacob Zuma and Goodluck
Jonathan met in Cape Town, South Africa
where various issues were discussed on how
to improve on relationship between both
countries as they agreed on so many issues
aimed at boosting development in the
continent.
Beside the visas waiver agreement both
countries also signed eight other bilateral
agreements which include, cooperation in
legal field, oil and gas sectors, power sector
development, environment,defence
cooperation, women development and
empowerment as well as child development.
The bilateral agreements also cover geology,
mining, mineral processing and metallurgy
and fields of information and communication
technology.
For both presidents, stronger ties between
both countries is necessary if the continent's
fortune is to be improved.
In his view, President Zuma said, "we have a
duty to take this historic relationship further.
Our two countries have already grown very
warm bilateral relations structured through
the bi-national commission that was officially
inaugurated in 1999,".
The meeting also afforded President Zuma
the opportunity to express his joy also the
number of South African companies doing
businesses in Nigeria, the biggest investment
being in the telecommunication sector.
He further noted that it is the intention of
South Africa to expand to other sectors such
as engineering, construction, banking, oil and
the media.
He also advocated for both countries to
promote people to people relationship
especially through tourism which he said has
generated huge Foreign Direct Investment for
the country.
"Last year alone, South Africa received a total
of 73,282 Nigerian tourists which is an
13.8percent increase from 2011 contributing
about 720million Rands to the South African
economy within the period."
In his responding, President Jonathan,
described the signing of nine bilateral
agreements between the two countries is a
major achievement that would enhance the
critical role of Nigeria and South Africa in
transforming the continent,
The President later addressed joined session
of the South African parliament where he re-
echoed the need for the two countries to
strengthen partnership in growing the
continent's economy.

Where are the following Musicians today?

As the world last Friday marked the world
music day, not a few stakeholders have noted
that music afterall as been said to express
that which cannot be put into words and that
which cannot remain silent. Music has created
an avenue for all and sundry to have a
reason to be happy at all times.
But when music stars disappear from the
radar, it gives music lovers reasons to wonder
why...
Olusola Olujide Ayodele of Leadership takes
a look at some music acts who made waves
in times past but are becoming less visible on
the Nigerian entertainment stage.
Bigiano
Gabriel Bablalola, known as Bigiano joined
Peter and Paul Martins in 2001 to form a
group named Triple B. however, in 2004, the
centre could no longer hold and Bigiano went
solo. In 2008, Bigiano made a compelling
appearance on the music scene with
themonster hit track, 'Shayo' and went on to
become more popular than his early group
members. He was involved in several shows
based on the commercial success of the
'Shayo' song. He released a few more songs
which made waves so to say. But ever since
then, little has been heard of him music wise.
His former group members in an interview
said they knew he wasn't going to last in the
music scene because he allowed little things
get into his head and would be unable to
handle fame. Could that be the reason why
he has gone into oblivion? He however said,
his absence from the scene was deliberate, as
he wanted to spend more time with his
family.
Tony Tetuila
Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye better known
as Tony Tetuila is known for these songs 'My
Car' and 'E go better'. He was a former
member of the Remedies, along with Eedris
Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana. He broke
out of the group and went solo. He was
hugely successful when he went solo and
sadly, he hasn't been able to live up to the
super star tag put on him. It is a known fact
that he is struggling to regain relevance as he
has been appearing in few musical videos.
He still maintains cordial relationship with
people like Tuface and regularly seen at the
ever bubbling places in Lagos. He was one of
his groomsmen during Tuface's wedding.
Rumour has it that he impregnated a young
lady living in the United Kingdom. Datz all!
Alariwo
After the passing of Afrobeat legend, Fela
Kuti, the only other acts representing for that
genre of music were his sons, Femi & Seun,
Lagbaja and maybe Dede Mabiaku. That
was until Alariwo burst on to the scene with
"Yawa Go Gas". Despite multiple efforts, it's
been quite difficult for the crossover king to
have the same amount of relevance he
managed with his debut.
Dekunle Fuji
Adekunle Oloyede Michael Olalekan better
known as Dekunle Fuji was once a toast in the
music industry especially the gospel genre.
He had some beautiful songs that ruled the
airwaves at some point in his career. We can
all recall the popular track with"lelelelele, mo
like Jesugan, monife Jesugan" lyrics. He
performed at shows, notably the international
acclaimed gospel show, 'The Experience'. It
looked like music wasn't in for him here in
Nigeria as he was no longer getting shows
and had to relocate to the United States. The
gist now is that he is now a certified nurse,
though he still performs there.
Deebee
Deebee, a Bariga-bred artiste burst into the
music scene with a monster hit song 'Collabo'
in 2008. He was the cynosure of all eyes as
almost every DJ played his songs. In fact, the
song was very successful, commercially. As
expected, he released a few more songs after
and just like those before him, he went dark
totally. Nothing has been heard from him
ever since then. Probably, he is in
collaboration with some other pressing
matters.
Ashionye
She started out as a member of girl band and
then went solo like the Plantashun Boiz and
Destiny's Child. Her song "Dance for Me"
dominated airwaves for a bit. The
accompanying video was heralded for its
dance moves and also for being very
colourful. In an industry where there has
always been a dearth of female acts,
Ashionye showed a lot of promise.Alas, it was
not to be. These days, she's more of an
actress, and even had a brief stint on TV
show 'Tinsel'. Her reason for her long absence
from the music scene was because she was
pregnant and had to take time out to raise
him.
JayRu
Featuring Wizkid on your song is almost a
guaranteed formula for success. That formula
definitely provided a solution for JayRu. He
sang 'Familiarity' featuring Wizkid. The song
was a success probably, due to the fact that
Wizkid was featured. "Ye ma form
familiarity" was what the people were
shouting, until JayRu went silent, and
everybody also stopped forming familiarity.
He has tried to release songs into the market
but sadly, they have not been commercial
hits.

A Must Read Sad Love Story that will teach you a lot of things

I have a boyfriend who grew up with me. I
always thought of him as a friend until last
year when we went to a trip from a club....
I found that I fell in love with him. Before that
trip was over, I took a step and confessed my
love for him. And soon, we became a pair of
lovers, but we loved each other in different
ways. I always concentrated on him only, but
by his side, there were so many other girls.
To me, he was the only one, but to him,
maybe I was just another girl…
"Vin, do you want to go watch a movie?" I
asked.
"I can't"
"Why? You need to study at home?" I felt
disappointment grabbing me.
"No… I am going to meet a friend…"
He was always like that. He met girls in front
of me, like it was nothing. To him, I was just a
girlfriend. The word 'love' only came out from
my mouth. Since I knew him, I had never
heard him say 'I love you' before. To us, there
weren't any anniversaries at all. He didn't
say anything from the first day and it
continued till 100 days…200days…
Everyday, before we say goodbye, he would
just hand me a doll, everyday, without fail. I
don't know why…
Then one day…
Me: Um, Vin, I …
Vin: What…don't drag, just say..
Me: I love you.
Vin: ……you….um, just take this doll and go
home.
That was how he ignored my 'three words'
and handed me the doll. Then he
disappeared, like he was running away. The
dolls I received from him everyday filled my
room, one by one. There were many…
Then one day came, my 18th year old
birthday. When I got up in the morning, I
pictured a party with him, and stranded
myself in my room, waiting for his call. But…
lunch passed, dinner passed… and soon the
sky was dark… he still didn't call. It was
already tiring to look at the phone anymore.
Then around 2am in the morning, he
suddenly called me and woke me from my
sleep. He told me to come out of the house.
Still, I felt joy and I ran out happily.
Me: Vin…
Vin: Here…take this…
Again, he handed me a little doll.
Me: What's this?
Vin: I didn't give it to you yesterday, so I am
giving it to you now. I'm going home now,
bye.
Me: Wait, wait! Do you know what today is?
Vin: Today? Huh?
I felt so sad, I thought he would remember
my birthday. He turned around and walked
away like nothing had happen. Then I
shouted… "Wait…"
Vin: You have something to say?
Me: Tell me, tell me you love me…
Vin: What?!
Me: Tell me
I put my pathetic self behind and clung on to
him. But he just said simple cold words and
left.
"I don't want to say…that I love someone so
easily, if you are desperate to hear it, then
find someone else."
That was what he said. Then he ran off. My
legs felt numb… and I collapsed to the
ground. He didn't want to say it easily… How
could he…. I felt that… Maybe he is not the
right guy for me…
After that day, I stranded myself at home
crying, just crying. He didn't call me, although
I was waiting. He just continued handing me
a little doll every morning outside my house.
That's how those dolls piled up in my room…
everyday !
After a month, I got myself together and went
to school. But what made the pain resurfaced
was that… I saw him on a street… with
another girl… He had a smile on his face, one
that he never showed me…as he touched the
doll… I ran straight back home and looked at
the dolls in my room, and tears fell… Why
did he gave these to me… Those dolls are
probably picked out by some other girls…In a
fit of anger, I threw the dolls around. Then
suddenly, the phone rang. It was him. He told
me to come out to the bus stop outside my
house. I tried to calm myself down and
walked to the bus stop. I kept reminding
myself that I am going to forget him, that…
it's going to end. Then he came into my sight,
holding a big doll
Vin: Jo, I thought you were pissed, you really
came?
I couldn't help hating him, acting like nothing
had happen and joking around. Soon, he
held out the doll as usual…
Me: I don't need it.
Vin: What….why…
I grabbed the doll from his hands and threw
it on the road.
Me: I don't need this doll, I don't need it
anymore!! I don't want to see a person like
you again!
I spitted out all the words that were inside
me. But unlike other days, his eyes very
shaking.
"I'm sorry" He apologized in a tiny voice. He
then walked over to the road to pick up the
doll…
Me: You stupid! Why are you picking up the
doll?! Just throw it away!!!
But he ignored me and just went to pick the
doll. Then…
*****
With a loud honk, a big truck was heading
towards him.
"Vin! Move! Move away!" I shouted… But he
didn't hear me, he squatted down and picked
up the doll.
"Vin, move!" ~!! "Boom!" That sound, so
terrifying.
That's how he went away from me. That's
how he went away without even opening his
eyes to say one word to me.
After that day, I had to go through everyday
with guilt and the sadness of losing him…
And after spending two months like a crazy
person… I took out the dolls.
Those were the only gifts he left me since the
day we started going out. I remembered the
days I spent with him and started to count the
days… when we were in love…
"One…two… three…" That was how… I
started to count the dolls…
"Four hundred and eighty four… four
hundred and eighty five…" It all ended with
485 dolls.
I then started to cry again, with a doll in my
arms. I hugged it tightly, then suddenly…
"I love you~, I love you~" I dropped the dolls,
shocked.
"I….lo..ve…you??" I picked up the dolls and
pressed its stomach.
"I love you~ I love you~" It can't be! I pressed
all the dolls' stomach as it piled on the side.
"I love you~"
"I love you~"
"I love you~"
Those words came out non-stop. I…love
you… Why didn't I realize that….That his
heart was always by my side, protecting me.
Why didn't I realize that he love me this
much… I took out the doll under the bed and
pressed it's stomach, that was the last doll,
the one that fell on the road. It had his blood
stain on it. The voice came out, the one that I
was missing so much…
"Jo…Do you know what today is? We've
been loving each other for 486 days. Do you
know what 486 is? I couldn't say I love you….
Um… since I was too shy… If you forgive me
and take this doll, I will say that I love you…
everyday… till I die… Jo… I love you…"
The tears came flowing out of me. Why?
Why? Why do I only know about all this now?
He can't be by my side, but he loved me until
his last minute…
For that… and for that reason… to me… it
became courage… to live a beautiful life…
I advise every one reading this story to
always be courageous to tell their feelings to
the ones they love. Never hold back, never
keep your love in a box. Love as if this is all
there is. Never let the one you love go without
letting them know how you feel.
