Banky W leads protests of abducted Chibok #Bringbackourgirls to Lagos Assembly with other Celebs

One issue that is capable of surpassing the January 2012 Occupy Nigeria protest is the missing Chibok, Borno schoolgirls, who have remained in the den of their abductors for about three weeks now. The issue has raised global concerns and protests, with many calling on the Nigeria government to rescue the girls alive. Today, Monday, May 5, 2014, some celebrities held a protest in Lagos to demand
for the release of the girls by the government. This is coming barely 24 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan held a media chat on the issue. Banky W, Waje, Omoni Oboli and Yemi Alade were among the celebrities who trooped out to hold a peaceful march to the premises of the Lagos State House of Assembly at Alausa, Ikeja. The artistes were unanimous in their requests, that is, ‘bring back our girls’.
