Glo Emerges Nigeria Brand Of The Year
National telecommunications operator, Globacom, has been declared the Nigerian Brand of the Year. The company won the award at the Nigerian Television Authority – Integrity and Service Programme (NTA-ISP) Award held at the Aso Villa, in Abuja on Tuesday night. The organisers said at the event, which was attended by several high profile guests, that Globacom was chosen as Brand of the Year for its pioneering role in the telecoms industry, describing it as the “African Brand with Global Aspirations”. Globacom, they explained, was a modern telecoms network offering unique and advanced products and services as well as the most convenient and competitive data and voice price plans. The organizers also recalled that Globacom had deepened internet penetration in Nigeria through its nationwide fibre optic cable, Glo 1 submarine cable and the 4G LTE services which the operator had extended to 33 locations across the country.
