A 45-year-old woman was burnt to death inside a deep freezer  in her apartment at Enerhen, near Warri, Delta state, in the early hours of Wednesday. The circumstances surrounding her death were still shrouded in secrecy and police have swung into action to unravel the mystery. A 22-year-old woman has sought medical care for a protrusion on her left foot that has now been described as a fully-formed third nipple. Appearing in a report published in scientific journal Dermatology Online, researchers believe the case may be the first of its kind. Photographs accompanying the report show the 4cm nipple in the plantar region of the patient’s left foot. The report also says the nipple is surrounded by areola and hair. "She had no complaints of pain, pruritus, or alterations in volume or colour," the report said. "During her pregnancy or post-partum period, there had been no change in the lesion. "Family history for similar conditions was negative. "To our knowledge, this is the first report of supernumerary breast tissue on the foot". Up to 5 per cent of people are thought to suffer from the condition although most extra nipples tend to be located above the waist.

A 40-year-old Bangladeshi woman cut off a man's penis during an alleged attempted rape and took it to a police station as evidence, police in a remote part of Bangladesh said Monday.The woman, a marriedmother of three, was attacked while she was sleeping in her shanty in Jhalakathi district, some 200 kilometres (120 miles) south of Dhaka, on Saturday night, officers said."As he tried to rape her, the lady cut his penis off with a knife. She then wrapped up the penis in a piece of polythene and brought it to the Jhalakathi police station as evidence of the crime,"police chief Abul Khaer told AFP. The woman has filed a case accusing the man -- who is also 40 and a married father of five -- of attempted rape, saying that he had been harassing her for six months. The severed penis has been kept at the police station and the rape suspect was undergoing treatment in hospital. "We shall arrest him once his condition gets better," Khaer added.
