The Nigerian Entertainment Industry has just recorded another fatality. "Osondi Owendi" crooner, MC Loph (Nwaozo Obiajulu) died on the Ore road while on his way to the east. He was purportedly on his way to his own Traditional Wedding and was with his fiancee. A Road Safety Official confirmed it on the phone that the Igbo Rapper has passed away.
MC Loph is best remembered for his remix of the late Chief Osita Osadebe's Highlife tune, "Osondi Owendi." He featured popular crooner, Flavour "Nabania" on the song but Flavour has somehow gone on to much greater heights and become the more remembered of the duo.
MC, whose acronym, L.O.P.H, stands for (Lord Of Pure Hiphop) was born Nwaozo Obiajulu Kenneth to the family of Late KC Nwozor of Umunze, Orumba South L.G.A of Anambra state. He is a University of Nigeria, Nsukka graduate of Sociology and Anthropology and was very musically active during his university days. That was also the time the likes of Ill Bliss and Obiwon were also holding the entertainment forte in that institution.
His second album, HANDS UP, which was released in 2009 actually brought him to limelight with the track, "Osondi Owendi," becoming a runaway hit. His death comes as he is trying to put finishing touches to his third album. He was signed on to EASTSYDE RECORDS with Flavour "Nabania" and Mr. Raw Nwanne (Nigga Raw) at the time he released "Osondi Owendi" in 2009. The video was then directed by Godfada Productions.

The song, "Osondi Owendi," was not without its own controversy as the Osadebe family began disturbing him after its success. At that time he had explained that he was going to do the song with one of Osadebe's sons who died before the project could happen, hence the coming Flavour on it.
Gone too soon....may your soul rest in perfect peace......
