Unilag Students in heavy protest against the rename of UNILAG to Mosshood Abiola University


There is a mass protest going on in Lagos by students of the University of Lagos,Akoka,over the announcement by Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan that the name of the school has been changed to Moshood Abiola University.
Mr. President made the announcement in his presidential speech to the nation on Democracy day.

Students who are obviously angry that the name is not a tush one for their institution are already on the streets of Yaba and Fadeyi area.

Pastor E.A Adeboye Builds N100m cancer screening centre

Pastor Adeboye's Redeemed Church of God have built a cancer screening and prevention centre with Hi-tech equipment worth close to N100m. The 10-room centre called Healing Stripes Hospital , is located on Adebisi close, off Ajao Rd, Surulere, Lagos and will offer pre-cancer awareness and enlightenment programme, screening, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring. The centre was officially commissioned on June 5 by pastor Adeboye and anyone can go there for screening.
