Wicked Woman inserts hot knife into daughter's private part

A 29-year-old woman, Lucy Samuel has been arrested by the police and arraigned before a Yaba Magistrate’s Court, Lagos for inserting a hot knife into her 13-year-old step- daughter's private parts and buttocks. Lucy who appeared before the court on Thursday was said to have conspired with her husband in assaulting the girl. According to report, the girl had confided in Lucy that her father (the husband of the accused) usually forced her to have sex with him in her absence. Apparently not happy over this news, the accused decided to teach
the girl a lesson by inserting a hot knife into her privates. The girl's wound was discovered by her teacher, Mrs Abimbola Owolabi, who observed that the girl was usually uncomfortable in class. She reported the matter after her discovery. Lucy was arrested and charged with conspiracy and assault. The prosecutor, Inspector Gbemileke Agoi noted that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 243 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. The accused however pleaded not guilty to the charges. Presiding over the matter, the chief magistrate, Mrs Kikelomo Ayeye, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum and the case was adjourned to June 13, 2014, for trial.
